Dr. (Mrs.) W. G. Samanthi Konarasinghe is an award-winning statistician, consultant, and lecturer with over 20 years of experience. She has developed key statistical methods, including the Circular Model (CM), Circular Indicator (CI), and Sama Circular Model (SCM), applied in time series analysis and financial risk measurement. She has received multiple international awards, published widely in statistics, and is a frequent keynote speaker at global conferences. She also serves on editorial boards and scientific committees and is an active member of international statistical organisations. Alongside her scientific career, she is a multidisciplinary artist and performer, including roles as a violinist, painter, writer, and actress.
